Hi - I'm newer to coding Nerve Conduction Studies and EMGs and have questions about codes the provider selected:
95911 for NCS, and 95886, 95885 and 95869 for EMG

My main question has to do with 95869 EMG thoracic paraspinal muscles (excluding T1 or T12). If I understand this section in the CPT book, this code would only be used if no NCS was done on the same DOS. If T8 was tested, would it be appropriate to use add on code 95887 for non-extremity EMG with NCS?
The other question I have is that 95886 narrative states, "each extremity". If the provider tested 5 or more muscles on LT upper AND lower extremity, I can use that code twice, with a modifier, correct?
Another extremity was also tested, 4 muscles or less, thus the 95885 - this one is fine...I think.

Any help and/or references would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
