I'm getting confused when I code for a lower extremity aborted intervention. I code the US guided access, the cath placement, the angiograms, but how do I identify the aborted or failed intervention procedure attempt?
I also can't find a code for the closure of the arteriotomy, Can that be billed when an intervention fails?
