Wiki What Modifier to use on X-rays

I have a patient that came in with a laceration to the forearm and they did an forearm x-ray and x-ray showed a foreign body, so the physician did a simple laceration repair and did another forearm x-ray to make sure no more foreign body. Do I need to use a modifier and if so what modifier do I need to use for the 2nd X-ray?

From my experience, I used modifier 59 for the second xray. And it got paid separately.

What about if they went from 3 views to 2 views, wouldn't it be a modifier -59? This happens where I code a lot.

If it's a different amount of views then use modifier 59 on the lower number of views.
