Wiki When a fall causes no injury, is a W code appropriate?

Hello,
When a provider sees a patient after a fall (as a precaution, to be checked out, etc.) is it appropriate to assign an External Cause of Morbidity code like W19.XXXA when no there has been no injury?

if the provider finds no evidence of any injury then you would use Z04.3 for examination for condition ruled out after other accident as the first listed code and the W9.xxxA as the secondary code. Codes that begin with V, W, X or Y are not allowed as the first listed code.

If the patient is pregnant is there a need to mention the patient is pregnant? Z34.xx? or Z33.1? or Weeks Z3A.xx?

if this was a visit NOT related to the pregnancy, you would use Z33.1 - pregnant state incidental.
