I have a question. I have a patient who had emergency surgery at like 9 pm and it lasted until 1 am the next morning. Now since I cant bill two procedure codes how would I bill this correctly? Thanks for all your help. :confused:
 
I always use the start day for the surgical procedure. And I do this for the anesthesia I bill (the anesthesia time 00xx would be the start of the next day). If the surgery took extra time due to increased intensity, etc. add -22 mod to the surgery.

If anyone does this differently & can point out where to find this please let me know :)
