There has been discussion in our medical group as to when a provider can charge for an application of a splint . Does fabrication or "making" of the cast or splint during application have to be done in order to code the application of the splint... or can an application be coded when the splint or cast is from a box and applied. example L3908 WHO cockup splint with velcro straps or a knee splint that is from a box and is prefrabricated. Where do you find the guidelines on this? Thanks, Emilie
