I hope someone can help. I am noting that the description for cpt 69210 is saying that a physician would bill this code. Does this code allow a QHP to also use this code or is this truly a physician specific code? I have searched and found nothing that tells me this information.

" Historically, many payers have required a physician to provide the service. Some payers continue to observe this restriction, while others may allow an NPP (such as nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or clinical nurse specialist) to perform and report 69210. Inquire with your individual payers to be certain of their requirements."
