Wiki Why are RVUs less if EUS is done with endoscopy?

PER NCCI the EGD/Colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy is included in the EUS, but the RVUs are lower for all the EUS codes, why? What's to stop us from just coding the scope-only service, since it was done, and the RVUs indicate it is more extensive than the ultrasound?
