The patient has had a previous excisional biopsy with diagnosis of infiltrating ductal carcinoma of the breast. She had a previous wide excision of intraductal carcinoma of the left breast.
Op note:
The dissection was carried down in a v shape down to the depth of the breast tissue. All of the tissue surrounding the excision was soft to palpation and not suspicious and it was oriented anatomically for pathology and handed off to the pathologist for permanent section. The breast tissue was approximated with simple stitches.
What CPT could would you use for the exscision?
