Attention Hospitals that are reimbursed by OPPS. Will Medicare reimburse hospitals if a PA is the only one performing the services? Ex. Pain injections.

Medicare will provide payment for incident to services provided outside of a hospital or skilled nursing facility at 85% of the amount on the MPFS. The PA must meet certain supervision guidelines set forth by Medicare.

'Injection' drug service only claim is considered Incidental to hospital outpatient prospective and not considered to be paid by Medicare via OPPS.
