Hi, I was wondering if any one had any experience or advice to share. I know different states have different years codes, but what's really throwing me is the em. We do post payment audits, so we pretty much get what the payer sees, with having to mask so much of the pfsh how can we accurately confirm the Los? Maybe I'm over thinking this, but so far everything in seeing has been'over billed' because of the omission. Tips and tricks would be definitely appreciated.

"Because of hippa, since it cannot go to the payer if it's not pertinent"

It is my understanding that work comp is not a HIPPA covered entity and therefore receives a complete chart note. This way all of the information is present to be coded correctly.

Thanks, Amanda
