A medicare patient was given pain meds and an antibiotic in the ER for a dental abscess (which is not covered by Medicare). The patient had a reaction to one of the meds (not sure which) so came to our office due to itching, chest pain, etc. Does anyone know if Medicare will cover this even though the meds were for an excluded condition?
