Hello,

Would this post partum visit in the hospital be billable? I am thinking yes for the CHTN, but not sure about the anemia?

Post partum day 1

Doing well, afebrile, has adequate pain control.

EBL 700 2/2 atony, patient reports normal lochia this AM, Hct 27.2 reviewed, no s/sxs anemia, plan for IV iron

OOB, ambulate.

CHTN - Bps currently at goal on home regimen Labetalol 200 mg BID, continue to monitor

Routine post partum care.

Thank you,

I would agree yes for the hypertension, but it will be a low level visit given her BPs are at goal. The payer might be looking for something more significant in order to bill this separately. And of course the note is very sketchy

Quick question Patient had a few mild range BP yesterday Had mild range BPs during labor, normal labs, normotensive since, normotensive since.. Does this warrant billing for post partum?
