I have some questions regarding wound care and billing CPT 29581 I am hoping this group can answer! If a provider assesses an ulcer, and the nurse places the pro-fore dressing, can 29581 be billed? What documentation would be required? And if the patient came back, can the nurse do the wound assessment and the pro-fore dressing change and still bill a 29581 or would the provider need to see the patient themselves? Thanks in advance!
