Does anyone ever bill the 97597code ( an active wound management code for debridement any method of open wound dermal or epidermal) for wound care ? We are questioning wether we can bill both an E & M code with a 97597 this is an on going wound same DX can anyone help us with this ?
 
Evaluation of the wound is included in the procedure. You may not bill an E/M unless there is a there is a significant, separate, yadda, yadda. . . ;)
