After a laceration repair at the ER and the patient comes back for wound care done by another physician Can that be coded differently or with that still be included in the Global and just code the supplies

I was coding just e/m and supplies

If it is a non compleat lac repair it probably has no global. Since 2011 Medicare deemed minor lac repairs have a 0 global. Check with you commercial carriers, many have also adopted this. If there is a global and the Patient is return to the same place that performed the repair then there is no charge by the physician. On the other hand the ER facility does charge a facility E&M and supplies just no physician charge.
