Are the HCPCS dressing codes reimbursable for example A6021 with mod A1 (one wound)
we have a pt that had surgery by another surgeon - now has a wound abscess - coming in weekly for collagen dressings.

This is Medicare and our carrier states dressing are not covered as they are included in the "surgical pkg" we did not do the original surgery - so are we stuck with just charging e/m or can we get paid for the A6021 dressing?
