Hi all,
I'm starting a new position for coding for outpatient clinic at our local hospital. I was wondering if anyone could clarify CPT code 97597 for wound debridement for me. By reading the description it looks like the physician has to have had done a high pressure waterjet in order to code this, but if that is not the case, please let me know.

The code states "when performed" meaning it is included if doctor performs this. Doctor does not have use it if not needed to use this code. ;)
