Can a provider perform surgical wound preparation (CPT codes 15002/15004) and document the procedure in their note as a means of preparing the wound for allograft placement (CPT codes 15271/15275)?
Additionally, can surgical wound preparation codes be used during subsequent follow-up visits for allograft placement or are those toes only to be used once per wound?
