Hello,

How is a chronic RLE wound- due to previous trauma- slow to heal secondary to DM and PVD coded?
I was thinking S81.801A and not code for DM and PVD because the provider is not treating them, only the wound.
Is this correct anyone?
 
I would also code the combo code E11.51 due to stating the reason it is slow to heal.
DM does cause slower healing and since they also have PVD must use the combo code:)
