Wiki WPS and Modifier 22 - Wants separate report?

Does anyone else bill to WPS claims with modifier 22? We switched from NGS to WPS in August. We had decent success with NGS in getting additional payment for services that warranted a modifier 22.

I found out today that WPS's policy for modifier 22 is to separate out the information that would substantiate the additional reimbursement into its own report. So instead of one op report with an added note at the end, they want my doctor to dictate two reports.

This seems silly. Is this normal for other MACs?
