My MD sees patients one day a week at an occupational medicine facility that has x-ray capabilities, labs, etc. My MD does not own the facility or any equipment in this facility. This facility does not bill commercial medical insurance nor do they participate with any commercial medical insurance. If they do an x-ray for one of our patients can we bill the patient's insurance? They have an outside radiology group that reads and does a report of the x-ray. The facility was going to bill us and we would pay them for their services. I don't think that we can actually bill out anything other than our office visit because we don't own the business or x-ray machine. I am just double checking and wanting validation that what I am thinking is correct, which is we cannot bill for x-ray.
