I work in a podiatrist's office which routinely does x-rays. Recently, the dr was taking x-rays of a pt's foot. When he went to the processor, it would not work. The dr then took the x-rays to another dr's office to process them, however, he did interpret the x-rays. Would it be correct to bill this x-ray with a modifier 52 or should it be billed in another way?
