Question to make sure I am using the XP modifier appropriately - A general surgeon is performing R TKA and the anesthesiologist provides to post op pain control nerve block (64447:RT). Is it more appropriate to add -XP to 64447 instead of -59 as a separate provide performed the block? Thanks!
 
Hi there, XP wouldn't be appropriate. The anesthesia provider performs the anesthesia service and the post-op block.
