I had a meeting with a orthopedic provider today stating she performs Xray guided injections. Currently she uses CPT 77002 for the xray. She clearly stated this is not a Floroscope. It is a static Xray. I believe this is incorrectly being billed. When I read is for 77002 this is a continuous image (real time) that is displayed on a monitor. An Xray is not that. Am I thinking about this correctly? Can I get some guidance on this?

I think you would have to be sure exactly what is being performed. But if it is static XR, that is not the code (imo).
