Hello,
If an account has two separate IV Therapy infusions running in 2 separate lines, but the pt had ABG's performed, therefore I would need the modifier XU appended to the charges. My question is (Levaquin infused in the Rt. arm IV site for 1 hr & 30 min ( 96365 XU), Heparin started in the Lt. Lower forearm Infused 1233-1442, would I not code 96365 XS & 96366 XS FOR ADD'l hr.?
The facility charge ticket did not permit me to do so.
