Wiki Y activity codes

If a patient has an injury to an eye or an eye is infected due to a foreign body, do you code it with a Y activity code as to how they got the injury or infection along with the T dx code and S dx code? Thanks

The Y codes for injuries are not required at this time. I know of an office which is coding the Y code, along with the injury code and the code for the location where the injury occurred. However, they only do that so they are in the habit of doing so for whenever those two extra codes are required.
