I see in the 2017 guidelines that GA codes are no longer applicable when a D&C or D&E (with dx code Z33.2)are performed. Does anyone have more detailed information about this and if not applicable, why not. We were utilizing these GA codes as a secondary code on these procedures.
 
Although I can't find any specific documentation regarding why the change was made, I'm wondering if this is due to the fact no birth happened. :confused:
