I have been coding ICD-10 code Z45.2 for Mediport placements (36561). Should I be coding Z45.2 for all central venous access lines i.e Non-tunneled catheter (Quinton), Tunneled caths (Permacaths) ?

We assign the reason for the cath as the primary dx (when known) followed by Z45.2 or Z49.01 but when the reason isn’t documented we assign the z code primary.
