patient seen in office post partial pancreatectomy. Reason for visit "discuss glucose monitoring" no symptoms noted
doc orders Check A1C now, in 3 months and again in 6 months, then annually unless develops symptoms.

Medicare is denying office visit billed only with Z90.411

Help!?!
 
I would use either a code for surgical aftercare or a code for history of the condition that required the surgery as the first listed code followed by the Z90.411.
