Is anyone having trouble getting paid for Zostavax administration? Our patient went to the pharmacy & picked up vaccine, but came back to us for the admin & Blue MCR is denying....thoughts?

Also, we are not Part D suppliers so can we still get paid for vaccines such as tetanus & zostavax even if we have an ABN on file?
 
Are you just billing the 90471 with diagnosis V01.79?

That should work. If you are trying to bill the vaccine, yes it will deny under part B.
 
Zostavax

Medicare nor will Medicare supplements pay for the administration of zostavax. Whether you get an ABN or not they will deny as a PR.
