Question: Is there a code for a follow-up groin check in the office after cardiac catheterization?

Answer: Rather than reporting a separate code for the groin check, include the service in the overall E/M service provided at the encounter. Because cardiac catheterizations typically have a 0-day global period, covering only the day of surgery, you should be able to report a separate E/M for the encounter.
