Radiology Procedures CPT® Code range 70010- 79999

This code range includes radiology CPT® codes. The American Medical Association (AMA) maintains the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code set.

The list of radiology CPT® codes includes codes that represent diagnostic imaging, diagnostic ultrasound, radiologic guidance, breast mammography, bone and joint studies, radiation oncology treatment, and nuclear medicine procedures.

The radiology CPT® code range divides the diagnostic imaging codes based on anatomic area, such as head and neck, spine and pelvis, gastrointestinal tract, and vascular system. Further divisions within the radiology CPT® diagnostic imaging codes allow you to report services based on modality, such as X-ray, computed tomography (CT), or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

For unlisted radiology procedure codes, meaning those procedures or services that do not have a more specific and appropriate CPT® code available, the CPT® surgical code set includes a long list of codes, from 76496 for unlisted fluoroscopic procedures to 79999 for unlisted radiopharmaceutical therapy procedures.
