The provider uses a laryngoscope to look directly inside the larynx, which is the voice box, to detect the presence of any abnormalities. The provider also performs arytenoidectomy, in which the provider excises the arytenoids cartilage present at the back of the voice box. He performs arytenoidectomy under the guidance of an operating telescope or microscope.
