In this procedure, the provider surgically suspends the urethra by placing several sutures and stitching with the urethra to surrounding tissue. He performs this procedure with a laparoscope, a thin tube with a camera at one end. This service is done for the treatment of stress incontinence, or the inability to control the urine.
