The provider examines the bladder and urethra with a cystoscope and widens the anterior commissure of the prostate with a balloon catheter that is not coated with medication. The provider then delivers medication directly into the prostate using a separate drug–coated balloon catheter. Imaging guidance, such as ultrasound or fluoroscopy, is included in this service.
