The provider repairs a pseudomeningocele or a tear in the dura that causes a cerebrospinal fluid, or CSF, leak and can lead to a serious infection. The dura is the tough outer membrane surrounding the central nervous system. This service may be necessary to repair a defect that occurs after spinal or intradural surgery, trauma, or a congenital abnormality.
