I need advice from someone who has billed this code.
My dr is wanting to bill 63710 for a DuraGen graft. Dural puncture done by another dr during an injection. Patient came to my dr for back pain, dr went in to do a microdiscectomy w/ repair of csf leak w/ dural graft.
Here's the part of the report about the graft, "Attention was directed to the repair. A #5-0 Nurolon was then used to repair the dura; it was reinforced with a piece of Duragen dural graft and then Tisseel was placed over the defect."
Would it be appropriate for 63710 to be billed with 63709? Or since this was an allograft product would it just be included in 63709?
