Electrical stimulation therapy uses electricity to stimulate the muscles for the treatment of pain and other disorders associated with muscles. Electrodes are placed on the affected muscle areas and an electric current of various intensity is passed through the electrode pads to expand and contract the muscles. This helps in the restoration of normal muscle strength, improved ability in the performance of activities, relief from pain, and improved blood circulation.
