Is there a set time period when seasonal vaccinations can be administered and billed?

I over heard a conversation where the following questions was asked: "Our office received a new shipment of Flu Vaccine, can the doctors begin administering and billing for it?

Thanks

The CDC website is the best place to check on when vaccines should be given. Usually, providers try to give the flu shot a little later than August, since if too early it won't cover the entire flu season - but I've heard of flu outbreaks already, so perhaps they've changed. Here's a link to the CDC site: http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp.htm

Hope this helps!
