Patient had a unicompartmental knee arthroplasty a couple years ago. Now we are doing a total knee revision arthroplasty (femur, tibia and patella).
Do I go with the 27487? It doesn't seem right to me when patient had a unicompartmental
arthroplasty to begin with. Appreciate any words of wisdom.

it's a conversion to a Total Knee not a revision. I would recommend 27447 with a possible 22 modifier if it's warranted in the note. There is no Knee Conversion codes as there is with the Hip so we are instructed to use the knee arthroplasty code 27447. There's been a lot of discussion on this procedure but we're still at the above coding sceario.
