Hi,
I need some clarification on the new combination codes for lumbar interbody and posterior
arthrodesis. Especially with the terminology " each additional interspace and segment" for add on code 22634 which is unclear. Do I count each additional segment plus the interspace or just each additional interspace? Please help!
How would I code L2-S1?

The description in Encoder Pro just states "each additional interspace"...nothing about segments.
 
Thanks for the clarification. I code from the AMA CPT book and it stated segments too, so that's why I was confused.
