If a doc does a cath in the er (no consult) and then sees the patient in his office the following week, do I bill a new patient or an established patient?

Established - the doctor performed a face-to-face professional service for this patient prior to the office visit.

You will bill an establish pt visit. Anytime there is a procedure done where one of the physicians seen the patient face to face you will bill the office visit as established since the physician has already seen the patient.
