Physician performed a planned Left heart cath on a patient which was an outpatient procedure, but the patient developed some complications and stayed overnight. The physician dictated a discharge note for the following day and wants to charge for the discharge. Can that be done? Heart caths have 0 global days.

Yes, he can charge for a discharge. As long as it is a different calendar day from the cath.
