I hope this question is easy for many coders. If a patient is established to the clinic, but comes in for an initial wellness visit, do you use an established or new preventive medicine code?

you answered your own question. once a patient is established they are established unless there is three years separating their vistis. so as long as the patient has been seen in the last three years you would bill the preventative as established.I hope this question is easy for many coders.
