I have a patient who is in the post op period, and has come into the office because his pain has not resolved, my doctor has decided to re-explore his surgery site. (This patients care is complicated by the fact that he has a BB lodged in his spine so we are unable to do a MRI on him.) I am wondering if this office visit is included in the post op global or should I bill with a modifier? It seems to me that the problem is related to the surgery so....
