When preforming an open carpal tunnel in an office setting has anyone had an issue with the insurance companies not paying for the procedure? Will they pay for procedure since it is not being performed in a surgery center or an outpatient OR setting? Any and all input would be appreciated. Thanks T

My docs have done a CTR in the office before and we have not had any issues with payment.

It might be how the carrier classifies the procedure, these are just a few examples as there is a whole list of status codes.

A2 = performed at an ASC and paid based on the OPPS fee schedule

Office: P2, P3, R2
