Hello,

Can anyone tell me what code would be used if the FNP or MD calls the patient. They are following up with patient on medical issues, medications, etc.

Thank you

There is no code for this, unless you have a minimum of 30 minutes for the 99358. However there are several payers that will not pay this code. The provider must document the time spent.

Hi,

There is not a code for phone calls and NO insurances cover such services under any circumstances. No benefits even if it involves care of elderly patient or severely ill/critical care.

Good luck.

That's what I had thought, I just wanted to verify from the experts. Thank you so much
