I have 2 new interventional cardiologist that come to us from different hospitals. They are doing coronary angiograms on patients whom need aortic valve replacements due to aortic stenosis but that's not an approved DX on our LCD list. I have no other dx to use and getting denials. Is anyone else having this problem? Any advice?
TIA

I have had this issue many times. If the cath is normal there is not very many options. You can use the V72.81 even though this is usually not on the allowed dx list either or you may want to look at 429.89.

HTH! :)
