we are a family medicine group. If we are not the admitting physician to the hospital but were consulted for 'medical management,' are we to bill for the discharge from the hospital or is that the admitting physicians charge? Do we just bill subsequent hospital care. We are discharging the patient from our care but not from the hospital so I was not sure how this works.
Thanks!

Hi,

The subsequent visit need to be billed if your physician not admitting the patient because the provider discharging the patient from his/her care.
